Meet Our Team

Phoebe is the reason behind the Mustang program. Star adopted her July 13, 2021, from the Bureau of Land Managment in Ridgecrest, CA. The bond was formed through trusting each other on the move to Fairbanks, AK. This beautiful creature has shown Star that when you are given something so wonderful to spend time with, you have a reason to leave your house each day, even when you feel the world is against you.

Floki is the reason for the Malinois portion of the programs name. Floki is Star's soon to be service dog and the reason we feel every disabled Veteran should be able to train their own service animal. Service dogs are a large part of the Veterans life and their needs to be a strong bond. We at Veterans Rescue understand that Veterans want to pick their best friends and that it is possible to train your own service dog rather than spend thousands of dollars to buy one that may not have the same bond as one you find on your own. Floki has been a shinning example of how, with a little bit of help from experts, you can pick your own service dog and learn to train them yourself.
